How Same-Day Crowns Work

Digital Impressions

We use a digital scanner to capture precise 3D images of your tooth, ensuring an accurate fit without messy impressions.

Custom Crown Design

The images are used to design your custom crown with CAD/CAM technology. You can even preview the design before we proceed.

Milling the Crown

Once the design is finalized, we use the CEREC machine to mill your crown right here in our office. This process takes about 20 minutes.

Placement and Adjustments

After your crown is ready, we’ll carefully place it and make any adjustments needed to ensure it fits comfortably and securely.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does the procedure take?

Most same-day crown procedures take about 2 hours from start to finish. We’ll explain each step along the way so you know exactly what to expect.

  • Will the crown look natural?

Yes! Our crowns are made from high-quality ceramic that closely matches the colour and texture of your natural teeth, giving you a seamless, natural-looking restoration.

  • How long do same-day crowns last?

With proper care and regular checkups, same-day crowns can last 10-15 years or longer, just like traditional crowns.

  • Do same-day crowns hurt?

The procedure is generally pain-free. We numb the area to ensure you’re comfortable, and after the procedure, you may experience mild sensitivity that usually fades within a few days.

  • Can I eat normally after the procedure?

Once your crown is placed and adjusted, you can eat and drink normally. We recommend avoiding hard or sticky foods for the first 24 hours to give the crown time to settle.
